As life resumes post-pandemic, this shirt and trouser set were designed to modernize professional fashion, remaining mindful to the newfound ideal of comfort and nostalgia.

F/W 2022 Shirt and Trouser

This project focuses on the flat pattern making process. Tasked with designing a full, cohesive look consisting of a collar, pocket, and J-fly, I wanted to create a look that reflected many of the new values that have risen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This look combines the comfort consumers expect in garments after months of isolation with the nostalgic luxury we remember of a time

pre-pandemic. The shirt is casual, oversized and constructed of a light polyester shirting fabric. The trousers fit classically, but made of 100% linen, making them breathable and relaxed. An overlay was added into the waistband to cover one leg of the trousers to elevate the simplistic silhouette.
