I'm Kate Assimus, a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist and activist working within fashion, fibers, fine art, and performance art to spur insurgency against the modern American backdrop. A 2023 graduate of the Fashion Design B.F.A at Savannah College of Art and Design, my work is designed to show fashion as an artistic vessel for change - clothing that makes a statement beyond aesthetic, preaching intersectional inclusivity, sustainability, and social ideology. Since graduating, I'm seeking to transition into a position within technical design, pattern-making, product development, or textile innovation. I want to remain hands-on in industry, utilizing 12 years of technical experience to aid in the creation of unique and well-crafted garments.
